It started off for me at Uptown Friday Nights, pouring beer for the Cedar Rapids Jaycees. They can use a few extra helpers for the next few weeks, just stop by and ask if they need help and let them know you are from the Isle of Iowa Parrot Head Club! Saw several phriends out that night and ran into a couple ex-members, hopefully we can get them back!

I had a great time Saturday too at the Marion BBQ Rendevous with many Parrot Head phriends! The Cedar Island Band was awsome and the Janeys kept us entertained afterwards. Thanks Deb Rassler for selling some club merchandise! Thank you Bart for bringing J.B. our mascot to life! It had to be hot, hot, hot in there! We handed out several “Island Fever Phlocking” flyers and membership brochures and had a great time entertaining the crowd. Then J.B. Bart went over to the Tanager Place Summer Festival and danced with all the other mascots! He will have to tell us all about it. Anyway, I think it was a great weekend and hopefully some of the publicity will pay off for our club! Thank you all for your support!
