Fri, Sep 29th – Oktoberfest in Amana
Amana Colonies. Activities start Fri at 2pm (if you want to start that early) for the official keg tapping ceremony. A few of us “German” Parrot Heads are planning on going Friday evening. Join us at Millstream Brewing for Dogs on Skis, playing from 4-8pm, then head over to the Festhalle Barn for the Die Tiefen Keller Kinder Band, from 8pm-Midnight! Registration at 8:30am, Ceremony at 9:30am, Walk Immediately Following Ceremony.
Route Length: 2 miles; 1 mile shortcut. Location: McGrath Amphitheatre at 475 First St SW in

Sat, Sep 30th – Dubuque Phlockers One Particular Harbour
3pm-8pm: Catfish Charlie’s River Restaurant in Dubuque. A 90 min cruise aboard the American Lady Riverboat will depart at 3:30pm, with music from “Pirate Over 50” and a Hog Roast after the cruise.
Also, don’t miss The Compass Rose Band will perform a free show from 8-11pm at the Q Casino at 1855 Greyhound Park Rd in Dubuque.
Wed, Oct 4th – October One Particular Harbor
6-9pm: Starlite Room at 3300 1st Ave NE in Cedar Rapids. Come out for our club social night for great food and drinks!
Sun, Oct 8th – Fall Highway Cleanup
10am – Noon: Meet at the I-380 Swisher-Shueyville Exit across from the BP Station. Safety vests and trash bags are provided. Afterwards we will meet at Jersey’s Pub at 5761 C St SW Ste A in Cedar Rapids for lunch and refreshments.
Sun, Oct 8th – Board Meeting
4pm: Viking Lounge at 1971 16th Ave SW in Cedar Rapids. All members welcome.
Thur, Oct 19th – Isle of Iowa Monthly Meeting
6–9pm: Parlor City at 1125 3rd St SE in Cedar Rapids. Come early for club social hour, meeting starts at 7pm.
Sat, Oct 21st – The 20th Anniversary Booze Cruise Bus Trip
9am-10pm: The Bus is Full! You can add you name to the waiting list if we have any cancellations. There will be many stops along the way including Paradise Distilling in Dubuque, and Potosi Brewing in Wisconsin.
Nov 1-5th – 2017 Meeting of the Minds "We're Still Here"
