Please take a minute to look at this flyer Sluggeritaville 2011 (96) regarding the Corn Republic (Lincoln) PHC’s major party in early August.

Sluggeritaville may be the most fun you can have in August! The Cedar Island Band will be the featured performers at the event this year. For only $20 you get a ticket to the game, special reserved seating, the parking lot party, food, drinks, and fun!

The band will play before and after the game. The beautiful Haymarket Park is a great venue for this fun event. The “buy the jersey off the player’s backs” will be a great ending to a perfect baseball day!

Special pricing at a near-by (walking distance) hotel makes this event a must do in August.

Our monthly meeting will be Thursday July 15th at D.C.‘s Riverwalk Pub (directions and map below)

The business meeting will be an important one as our new president fills you in on happenings and changes in the club, and asks for feedback from you, our members.

For example, the charity for our new quarter raffle, based on our new fiscal year starting with June/July/August, will be the Johnson County Crisis Center. The Crisis Center‘s vision is that every individual in Johnson County, IA has support in a time of need. For further information on this charity please go to jccrisiscenter.org.

We will continue to take donations for Waypoint Services. The need for plastic shopping bags is a pressing need right now. Please start stockpiling these bags and bring them to the meeting. Waypoint will be most grateful! They also need small food containers and non-perishable canned and boxed food. Please go to their Web site at www.waypointservices.org for an updated list of their needs.

And, as always, we will be collecting the pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
