5pm: Old Chicago at 75 2nd St in Coralville. All members welcome. Meeting with the Charities about Island Fever promotions, volunteers, and plans for a successful event. Event is only 17 days away!
Fri, July 29th – NewBo Rock the Block with The Bamboozlers
5:30-8:30pm: NewBo City Market in Cedar Rapids. Music is from 6-8pm. We need a few volunteers for the Isle of Iowa table, we will have the prize wheel and be collecting donations for Island Fever.
Sat, July 30th – The Peter Mayer Group at The Mill

6-9pm: CJ’s Sports Bar & Grille at 62 17th Ave SW in Cedar Rapids. Come out for our club social night for great food and drinks! Don’t forget your membership card for a discount.

5pm: Coralville Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. All members welcome. Last minute planning, the event is only 8 days away!
Fri, Aug 5th – The Compass Rose Band at Guthridge Park
6pm: Guthridge Park at 704 Emmons St in Hiawatha. Free concert!
Sat, Aug 6th – Pulling for Honor: A Plane Pulling Contest Benefitting EIHF
8am-1pm: Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids. Our mascot, JB the Parrot, will make an appearance around 10am. A family-friendly event will include a plane pulling contest, plane rides from the Young Eagles, static displays from our military and emergency services, fighter plane from University of Iowa, climbing wall from the National Guard, food and drink for purchase, and the opportunity to meet and thank some of our brave Veterans.
Sat, Aug 6th – Kernels Buffett Night at the Ballpark
4-11pm: Please plan to arrive at the stadium front gate to pick up your prepaid ticket between 4-4:30pm. For those arriving late, there may be a wait, contact Deanna at 319-651-9494. Game time for Cedar Rapids Kernels vs. Peoria Chiefs is 5:05pm. Your $27 advance ticket includes 3 hrs of free food and drinks starting at 4:35pm (30 min before the game). The Compass Rose Band will be playing immediately following the game along with fireworks at dusk!
Sun, Aug 7th – Island Fever Silent Auction Basket Making Party
1-4pm: Tina Hansen’s Home at 309 S. Davis in Anamosa. Last chance to donate items! Completed baskets can be dropped off day of event, but must be tagged and already on Tina’s list (contact Tina by email at: [email protected]). Any other donations will be used to support other fundraising efforts.
Wed, Aug 10th – Jello Shot Production Party
6:30pm: Gordy and Sandie Smith’s Residence at 225 Rockvalley Lane NW in Cedar Rapids. Please bring a bottle of flavored booze and two large boxes of Jello if possible.

Fri, Aug 12th and Sat, Aug 13th – Island Fever Weekend 2016
Coralville Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. Friday night music by the Bamboozlers at 7:30pm. Saturday starts off with our famous Bloody Mary Buffet at 9:30am, then the Iowa River Landing Pub Crawl at 1pm. Entertainment starts at 6pm with Mr. Myers Duo featuring Todd Donnelly, and then by The Boat Drunks. Reserve your room by calling 319-688-4000, ask for the Island Fever rate (extended for a short time)!

Thur, Aug 18th – Isle of Iowa August Monthly Meeting
6–9pm: Parlor City at 1125 3rd St SE in Cedar Rapids. BONUS PARROT POINTS: Please help us by bringing donations for Cedar Valley Humane Society (they will be attending and collecting for the 50/50), in addition to peanut butter for HACAP Operation Backpack.
Sat, Sep 3rd – Alpine Valley Bus Trip to the Jimmy Buffett “I Don’t Know” Show
7am until the thin line between Sat night and Sun morning (~4am)! Cedar Rapids through Dubuque to Alpine and back, with a couple stops along the way! Reserve your spot on the party bus; signup (pre-pay required before July 30th) at upcoming club events or via email at [email protected]! Cost is $65 plus you will need to purchase your own concert ticket separately. We still have bus seats available, so talk to your friends and let’s fill up the bus!
