Thur, Mar 15th – March Monthly Meeting
6:00 – 10:00pm, Downtown Fieldhouse at 411 1st St SE, Cedar Rapids. Our quarterly charity is the Eastern Iowa Honor Flights: https://eihonorflight.org/1801.html. Payment is due for the Des Moines Bus Trip. If anyone has extra Lei’s, please bring them to the meeting or the parade, we want everyone walking in the parade to wear a lei.
Sat, Mar 17th – St. Patrick’s Day Parade
1:00 – 3:00pm, Downtown Cedar Rapids. 2:30 – 5:00pm, Post Parade Award Celebration – Scottish Rite Temple, music by Irish Jam. The Isle of Iowa has parade entry #14. “Lei-d Back in Irish Time” is our theme. We have lots of beads to hand out, but if anyone has extra beads or candy bring them along or to the meeting Thursday night. We will meet at Coopacabana at Noon for everyone walking in the parade!

Sat, Apr 14th – Parrot Head Party Bus to Dubuque Phlockers’ One Particular Harbor
1:00pm – 2:00am, Bus will pickup in Coralville, Cedar Rapids, and Anamosa and stops in Key West before the Dubuque Phlocking featuring music by the Cedar Island Band. Cost is only $50 and includes bus ride, pre-party and ticket to the Phlocking. Open to Non-Parrot Head’s also; we still have about 10 seats available. 12:00pm – 1:00am, The Parrot Head Party Bus to Des Moines includes admission to the “Tuesday on the Island” Pre-Party; a $50 payment is due by the March Monthly Meeting. Sat, Mar 24th – St. Joseph’s Day Parade
1:00pm, Line up starts at Noon, the parade will start in New Bo on 3rd St SE between 9th and 11th Ave SE, it will proceed south to 14th Ave SE, then turn right across the 14th/16th Ave Bridge of Lions, and through Czech Village on 16th Ave SW to C St. We need to find out if there are enough participants to enter this parade. Please sign up at the monthly meeting or e-mail me to let me know if you can walk in this parade.
Fri, Apr 20th – AniMeals Benefit with Greg Warren at Penguins Comedy Club
7:30pm – Tickets are $20 and a portion of the proceeds goes to benefit Cedar Rapids AniMeals. Tickets are currently available at Affordable Plumbing in Cedar Rapids or by contacting [email protected]
