6-9pm: CJ’s Sports Bar & Grill at 62 17th Ave SW in Cedar Rapids. Anyone interested in the Phlocking is encouraged to attend. We need your support to help make this a successful event.
Thur, June 20th – June Monthly Isle of Iowa Meeting
6–10pm: City Beat Bar & Grill at 304 3rd Ave SW in Cedar Rapids. Our 2nd quarter charities are the Cedar Valley Humane Society and the Iowa City Friends of the Animal Center Foundation. Please see Bart’s e-mail regarding Animal Shelter needs and bring a donation to the meeting.
Fri, June 21st – Parrot Head Poker Night
8pm: Steve Sanders Casino Garage at 3540 C Ave Ext in Marion. There will be a $20 entry fee for this Texas Hold-em Tournament. Half of the proceeds will benefit the Isle of Iowa, the other half is distributed to the winners.
Sat, June 22nd – Fairfax USA Days Parade
11am line-up, Noon start: The Fairfax Legion will have a pancake breakfast and Gerald's bar will be open, so plan on coming early for breakfast (9-11am) and stay for the parade (11am lineup, Noon start)! Wear anything patriotic and please bring a bag of candy. We will have some beads and handouts to advertise our Phlocking.

Wed, July 3rd – Coralville 4th Fest OPH
5-11pm: S.T.MorrisonPark in Coralville featuring music by the Beaker Brothers at 6:30 pm, followed by 38 Special at 8:00 pm. Plan to spend the evening with all your Isle of Iowa Phriends. Bring sandwiches/snacks and your cooler and chair. There are also food vendors in the park. We won’t be grilling, but we will still be having phun! We will try to stake out an area near mid-field stage right, if anyone can come early and bring large tarps or blankets.
Thur, July 4th – Coralville 4th Fest Parade
9am line-up, 10am start: GEICO/McGregor parking lot off Hwy 6 West in Coralville. The theme for this 30th Annual Parade is “Blast from the Past!” Wear anything patriotic and please bring a bag of candy to hand out. We will have some beads and handouts to advertise our Phlocking. This is a two mile parade, so keep that in mind, the truck will be rather full with speakers and JB the Parrot.
Thur, July 11th – Isle of Iowa Board Meeting
6–10pm: Anderson’s House, 1825 Ridgewood Terrace SE in Cedar Rapids. All members welcome.
Fri, July 19th – Uptown Friday Nights with the Cedar Island Band
5-8pm: GreeneSquarePark in Cedar Rapids. We will have a sign up sheet at the Thursday meeting for volunteers to help man our clubs table and hopefully serve beer. Come out in your club shirts to help advertise the Phlocking and have some Phun with the Cedar Island Band. The rumor is Ashley will be playing with the band too!

Sat, July 20th – Woodphlock 2013 Bus Trip
1-11pm at the Paddle Wheel, 613 Jefferson St in Burlington, IA. The Southeast Iowa Parrot Head Club Phlocking for the Disabled American Veterans. Music by Musical Blades, Aaron Stevens, and Mr. Myers Band. We have a sign up sheet for a bus trip, if you want to sign up for the bus please send me an e-mail so I can add you to the list (bus/ticket cost $50).
Sat, Aug 3rd – Jimmy Buffett Night at the Kernals
Please make your reservations today with Gerald. He can be reached at 319-551-9006 or [email protected]. The $26 price includes your ticket to the game and unlimited food and beverages including 1/3 lb hamburgers & cheeseburgers, all beef hot dogs, brats, popcorn, peanuts, dessert, pop, bottled water, and beer for three hours starting 30 minutes before game time. The Kernels will wear special Hawaiian Jerseys that will be sold during the game via a silent auction. Game time is 5 pm and the Cedar Island Band performs after the game, plus fireworks!

Sat, June 22nd – Irish District Music and Arts Festival
1-9pm - 700 16th St NE in Cedar Rapids. An outdoor, family-friendly festival celebrating and supporting live music, dance, arts, and local food and fostering fun, fellowship, and community pride in the Irish District/Mound View neighborhood of Cedar Rapids. Proceeds will be used to support the Eastern Iowa Arts Academy Guitar Program. Featuring: live music on two stages, dance performances, arts and crafts vendors, great local food vendors, the Kid Zone with lots of free activities for the kids, and Wamp's Dunk Tank. Admission is only $5, kids 12 and under free, and coolers are allowed! JB is planning an appearance!

3-7pm: Kelly McGuire Live at the Tiki Barn, 11739 Tama Road in Burlington, IA. Door opens at 1 PM for BBQ. Bring a covered dish/desert & BYOB if attending BBQ. Show starts at 3 PM.
