8-11am: Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids. We need a few people to staff the membership table and hand out Club and Phlocking info. Sat, Aug 3rd – Jimmy Buffett Night at the Kernals
4-10pm: Veterans Memorial Stadium. It is not too late to make reservations with Gerald by calling 319-551-9006 or e-mailing him at [email protected]. The cost is only $26 per person (children 5 and under are free) and includes a ticket to the game and unlimited food and beverages including 1/3 lb hamburgers & cheeseburgers, veggie burgers, all beef hot dogs, brats, popcorn, peanuts, dessert, pop, bottled water, and beer from 4:30 – 7:30pm. The Cedar Island Band performs after the game, plus there will be fireworks! You do not need to be a club member for this special, so invite your co-workers, friends, and family! Let’s fill the stadium with Parrot Heads!

6–10pm: City Beat Bar & Grill at 302 3rd Ave SW in Cedar Rapids. Our 3rd quarter charity is the East Central Iowa Alzheimer’s Association. Don’t forget to bring your donations for Island Fever Phlocking and Waypoint for extra Parrot Points!
Mon, Aug 19th – 2013 Phlocking Committee Meeting
6-9pm: Smugglers Wharf in Cedar Rapids. Anyone interested in the Phlocking is encouraged to attend. We need all members support to help make this a successful event to benefit the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight.

6-8pm: Coralville Old Chicago. Earn a limited edition t-shirt AND cap simply by drinking beer! You'll have from July 31st through August 25th to finish this 12 beer tour. Prize drawings, free food, and $1 off beers during the party.

Rock Lane Lodge in Branson MO. Friday night scavenger hunt, dancing and singing with the Cruize Control Band. Starting the day off Saturday will be a Floatilla on Table Rock Lake. Back on dry land after get ready for the crazy hat contest, Horse Races and a silent auction. Conch Republic will be the featured band. Proceeds benefit the Alzheimer's Association. Aug 16th - 18th – St. Judes Sweet Corn Festival
Great Family Fun! The 2013 Sweet Corn Festival is going to have some great entertainment in the Beverage tent. Friday night is Helforstout. Sat is Two Buck Chuck from 3-6p, and 7-10p is Slap N Tickle. Sunday 12-3p is the Brass Transit Authority, and 4-7p is Lonesome Road.
Sat, Aug 17th – Dubuque Phlockers Adult Canoe Float
10am: Walnut Acres in Monticello. The shuttle leaves at 10am sharp! Plan to arrive early so you don’t miss it. Taco Bar potluck after the canoe trip. Cost is $35 per canoe and $5 per person for the shuttle to and from Walnut Acres Campground. Contact McDonough Canoe Rental at 319.465.3697, https://www.mcdonoughcanoerental.com/rates.php.
