Isle of Iowa Events: 

Wed, Oct 16^th – Eastern Iowa Honor Flight
10pm:  Eastern Iowa Airport.  Come out and welcome our Veteran’s home from Washington DC!

Thur, Oct 17^th – Isle of Iowa Monthly Meeting
6–10pm: Checkers Tavern, 3120 6^th St SW in Cedar Rapids.  Our 4^th quarter charities are the Linn and Johnson County Food Banks.  Election Time:  It's time for you to think about serving in a position on the Isle of Iowa board.  All 9 positions are open. Please submit your nomination (for yourself or another) to our Elections Chair - Kathy Gravert at [email protected].  Nominations need to be submitted before the end of meeting on Oct 17^th.

Sun, Oct 20^th – Fall Highway Cleanup “Treasure Hunt”
10am – Noon: Meet at the I-380 Swisher-Shueyville Exit across from the BP Station.  Safety vests and trash bags are provided.  Afterwards we will meet at Shuey’s, everyone is welcome to join the “Treasure Hunters” for Sunday Funday!

Wed, Nov 6^th – One Particular Harbor

Tue, Nov 12^th – Isle of Iowa Board Meeting
6–9pm: Robe’s Residence in North Liberty.  All members welcome.

Sat, Nov 16^th – Livingston Saturday Night Phlocking
Parrot Head Party Bus Trip (to Des Moines):  Music by the Cedar Island Band.  The cost of the trip (including Jell-O shots, a ticket to the event, games & prizes, and your seat on the bus) is just $60.  Get signed up today by contacting Bart Mason at [email protected] or Randy Havlik at [email protected].   Payment can be made at the monthly meeting or Nov OPH.

Wed, Oct 16^th – Old Chicago Halloween Mini Tour Kickoff
5-8pm: Old Chicago in Coralville.  Beer specials, free buffet, and prize drawings every hour.  Get a limited edition t-shirt for completing the mini tour!

Fri, Oct 18^th – Going away Party for Marine Recruit Colin Sanders
7pm:  Big Shots at 1803 6th Ave in Marion.  Come out and congratulate Colin (Kate & ‘JB’ Steve’s son) as he begins his 5 year active duty in the Marines.  There will be a potluck with Tacos and Cake provided.
