9:30pm: Eastern Iowa Airport. Come out and join JB the Parrot and many other club members to welcome our Veteran’s home from Washington DC! Wear your club shirts if possible.
Sat, Sep 27th – Walk to End Alzheimer's
Registration at 9am | Ceremony at 9:30am | Walk at 10am: Greene Square Park at 400 4th Ave SE in Cedar Rapids. Please come out and join us from 9-10am, even if you can’t make the 2 mile walk, there is always lots of snacks and it is one of PHIP’s main charities! JB the Parrot will be there! 6-9pm: Shuey's Restaurant & Lounge at 1158 Club Rd in Shueyville. Come out and socialize with the Isle of Iowa! It is $2 burger night and we will be in the back room. Last chance to renew your membership on time to be in for the special prize drawing at the October Meeting!
Tue, Oct 7th – Isle of Iowa Board Meeting
6-9pm: Ptacek’s House at 309 Carter St NW in Cedar Rapids. All members welcome.
Sun, Oct 12th – Fall Highway Cleanup and “Treasure Hunt”
10am – Noon: Meet at the I-380 Swisher-Shueyville Exit across from the BP Station. Safety vests and trash bags are provided. Afterwards we will meet at Shuey's at 1158 Club Rd in Shueyville for lunch.
Thur, Oct 16th – Isle of Iowa Monthly Meeting
6–9pm: Parlor City, 1125 3rd St SE in Cedar Rapids. Come out to participate in our 50/50 to support our 4th quarter charity: Shop with a Cop. We will have a special prize drawing for all members who have renewed membership by Oct 1st. Also, please consider running for an Isle of Iowa Board position and turn in your nominations for the election coming up in November.

9pm-1am – Otis’ Tailgators Sports Bar at 3969 Center Point Rd NE in Cedar Rapids. Let’s fill the place with Parrot Heads! No cover charge!

Oct 3–5th – Oktoberfest in Amana
Amana Colonies. Activities start Fri at 2pm (if you want to start early) for the official keg tapping ceremony. A few of us “German” Parrot Heads are planning on going Friday evening. Join us at Millstream Brewing for Dogs on Skis, playing from 4-8pm, then head over to the Festhalle Barn for the Die Tiefen Keller Kinder Band, from 7:30pm – Midnight! Lots of Oktoberfest Beer, Brats, Dancing and phun for all! Cost for the 1 day is $7 in advance or $10 at the Festhalle Barn entrance. Details: https://www.festivalsinamana.com/oktoberfest.html
