Thur, Aug 15th – August Monthly Isle of Iowa Meeting
6–10pm: Checkers Tavern, 3120 6th St SW in Cedar Rapids (location changed due to City Beat closing). Our 3rd quarter charity is the East Central Iowa Alzheimer’s Association. Don’t forget to bring your donations for Island Fever Phlocking and Waypoint for extra Parrot Points!
Sat, Aug 17th – 5 O’clock Steel Band at The Lost Cuban
5-7pm: The Lost Cuban at 209 3rd St SE in Cedar Rapids. The 5 o'clock steel band will be playing compliments of Alisa and Todd Shields (who won the concert as part of last years’ Phlocking Silent Auction)! The Lost Cuban will have a liquor license by then and will have tasty mojitos and rum drinks! Of course you can come earlier or stay later if you wish to try the excellent food!

Sat, Aug 24th – Jimmy Buffett/Jackson Browne Concert
Alpine Valley Music Theatre in Elkhorn, WI. Join the Isle of Iowa Tailgate before the show! The Cedar Island Band will be playing before and after the show in the VIP Club. Please add your name and contact info to the list at the next club meeting to help organize the tailgate!
Wed, Sep 4th – September One Particular Harbor Family Picnic
6-10pm: Thomas Park Green Pavilion, 335 Marion Blvd. BYOB and a dish to share, the club will provide meat and table service. We will be accepting Phlocking donations for the Silent Auction, Booze Wall, and Peanut Butter Conspiracy also.

Aug 16th - 17th – Ozark Mountain Parrot Heads Phlock at the Rock
Rock Lane Lodge in Branson MO. Friday night scavenger hunt, dancing and singing with the Cruize Control Band. Starting the day off Saturday will be a floatilla on Table Rock Lake. Back on dry land after get ready for the crazy hat contest, Horse Races and a silent auction. Conch Republic will be the featured band. Proceeds benefit the Alzheimer's Association. Aug 16th - 18th – St. Judes Sweet Corn Festival
Great Family Fun! The 2013 Sweet Corn Festival is going to have some great entertainment in the Beverage tent. Friday night is Helforstout. Sat is Two Buck Chuck from 3-6p, and 7-10p is Slap N Tickle. Sunday 12-3p is the Brass Transit Authority, and 4-7p is Lonesome Road.
Sat, Aug 17th – Dubuque Phlockers Adult Canoe Float
10am: Walnut Acres in Monticello. The shuttle leaves at 10am sharp! Plan to arrive early so you don’t miss it. Taco Bar potluck after the canoe trip.
