Wed, Sep 30th – Jello Shot Production Party
6:30pm: Gordy and Sandie Smith’s Residence at 225 Rockvalley Lane NW in Cedar Rapids. Please bring a bottle of your favorite flavored booze and two large boxes of jello if possible. This is also the last chance to bring those auction baskets to Sue Anderson, donations for the booze raffle & any other donations you may have for the event!
Fri, Oct 2nd – Welcome to Island Fever Friday Night
8-11pm: Coralville Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. Free show with Mike, Dyke, and Howie from the Boat Drunks outside on the patio!
Sat, Oct 3rd – Island Fever Pre-Party
10am-1pm: Coralville Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. We’ll have a huge assortment of unique & tasty Bloody Mary mixes for you to try (plus we’re also providing the vodka)! In addition to the tasty drinks, we have expanded the event to include an extra special Party Room which will feature lots of phun games like Adult Jenga, Battle Shots & others. Plus we’ll have some snacks & food items available including those famous Chart Room Hot Dogs (if you’ve been to Key West you know what I am talking about)!
Then, after we’ve had our fill of Bloody Marys, we’ll be off on our inaugural Island Fever Pub & Poker Walk from 1-4pm in the Iowa River Landing! Talk about a phun event – this one will feature stops at 6 different locations in the Iowa River Landing (all within walking distance of our host hotel). The stops include the Edgewater Grille, Backpocket Brewery, Vesta, 30 Hop, WineStyles & Scratch Cupcakery and all will have some great food & drink specials for you to take advantage of. You will be able to pick up a playing card at each location & then use 5 of them to create your best poker hand. The winning hand will receive a special prize at the main event on Saturday night.
Sat, Oct 3rd – Island Fever 2015
6pm-Midnight: Coralville Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. Doors open at 5:30pm. Opening Saturday 6-7:15pm will be Mike, Dyke, and Howie from the Boat Drunks, followed by the Blooze Brothers from 7:30-11:30pm. Sun, Oct 11th – Fall Highway Cleanup
10am – Noon: Meet at the I-380 Swisher-Shueyville Exit across from the BP Station. Safety vests and trash bags are provided. Afterwards we will meet at Shuey's at 1158 Club Rd in Shueyville for lunch.
Thur, Oct 15th – Isle of Iowa October Monthly Meeting
6–9pm: Parlor City at 1125 3rd St SE in Cedar Rapids.
