6pm: Smugglers Wharf Big Bam-Boo Bar at 95 16th Ave SW in the Czech Village. Come out for our club social night for great food and drinks! Remember to bring your Membership card for a 15% discount!
Sat, Dec 7th – 30th Annual Fire and Ice De-Light Parade
6-7pm: Downtown Cedar Rapids. The Isle of Iowa will once again participate in the Fire and Ice Festival Holiday De-Light Parade! Get your tropical warm clothes out of storage for another great time! The Parade will take the traditional route, starting on 6th Street SE to move down 2nd Avenue, flow onto 2nd Street and loop to 3rd Avenue and end near Greene Square Park. We are entry 40D, our truck should be there by 5:15pm.

Thur, Dec 19th – Isle of Iowa December Monthly Meeting
6–10pm: Checkers Tavern, 3120 6th St SW in Cedar Rapids. Our 4th quarter charities are the Linn and Johnson County Food Banks. New membership cards will be available for everyone who has paid dues for 2014.
Sat, Jan 11th – Isle of Iowa Christmas Party
6pm: Fairfax Legion at 216 Main St in Fairfax (about 3 mi South on Hwy 151 from Hwy 30). Dress casual, bring a dish to pass for the potluck, and a wrapped present ($15-20 range) if you want to participate in the gift exchange.
Fri, Jan 17th – Cedar Rapids Roughriders Mascot Night
7:05pm: Cedar Rapids Ice Arena. Sign up for your ticket today! We need to make reservations, so please email Randy at [email protected] to reserve a ticket. Tickets for the Green Zone this year are $12. Our Parrot Head Mascot, “JB” will be competing during intermission! Plan to meet during happy hour in the lobby 5:30 - 6:30pm to pick up your ticket. Please pre-pay by the Christmas Party.
Sat, Feb 1st – QCPHC Havana Day Dreamin' Bus Trip
We are planning a bus trip to the Quad City PHC Phlocking. Estimated cost is only $70 for the Bus, Pre-party, and Phlocking. Music by the Boat Drunks and Ramajay Intercoastal and more. Sign up deadline will be at the December Meeting, if you can’t attend but want to sign up for the bus trip, please send an e-mail. We have 9 signed up so far, so we need you and your friends to sign up today!
Sun, Feb 23rd – 14th Annual Blues ‘n’ Buffett Chili Challenge
1–4pm: Cedar Rapids Marriott. We need members to cook Chili: if interested, please e-mail Randy at [email protected]. Advance tickets will be available to purchase or to check out to help sell. We need Silent Auction items also, if you have a basket or smaller items we can make into a basket, please bring to the next club event.
