It seems like forever since we've had an official TCB (Takin' Care of Business) meeting, but it will be here before you know it. I'm sure the Board has lots of exciting things to tell us, such as up-to-date information on the upcoming Chili Challenge.
The charity for our quarterly raffle of December/January/February will be Alzheimer's.
We accept donations for Waypoint Services, such as canned goods and non-perishables. I'm sure they are low on everything with the holidays just behind us. The need for plastic shopping bags is always paramount, as well as empty plastic food containers. Please go to their website at www.waypointservices.org for an updated list of their needs, or see the list in this month's newsletter.
We will also be collecting beverage tabs for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
We will be having a gift exchange which always proves to be a lot of fun! Guidelines are listed below:
Gift Exchange
To participate in the Gift Exchange:
1. Please sign in when you arrive by writing your name on a ticket provided and place the ticket in a basket located by the front door.
2. When the Gift Exchange begins, a name will be drawn from the basket. This person will go to the tree and select a gift to unwrap. After unwrapping, the person can then choose to keep the gift or open another gift. If the person decides to open another gift, the unwrapped gift is returned to the tree and the second gift will be theirs to keep. NO changing their mind after opening the second gift!
3. The next name drawn will then have the option of taking from the tree the unwrapped gift, opening a wrapped gift or taking a gift that another member unwrapped. Once a gift has been taken one time that gift cannot be taken again.
4. This will continue for the remainder of the names.
