The Isle of Iowa will celebrate the club's 19th birthday this Sunday at the Fairfax Legion Hall (the official tiki shack) in Fairfax, Iowa (216 Main Street; Fairfax, Iowa 52228) from 2 PM to 6 PM. Along with our annual awards ceremony (including the much anticipated Parrot Head of the Year announcement) we will also have special prize giveaways, special deals on upcoming club events (including a deal on Island Fever tickets that will blow your flip flops off) & live music! Mike Miller (lead singer from The Boat Drunks) will be performing live from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Don't miss the chance to see (and hear) The Hollow Man as he performs all of your favorite music including new songs from his latest CD - Perspective.
Please bring a dish to share with your phriends; the bar will be open for your drink purchases. This event is open to both members & non-members so feel free to bring along a phriend or two!
We would also like to encourage you to bring an item (or two, or three or ten) to donate to the Island Fever silent auction chair - Tina Hansen. Any & all donations (including bottles of booze) will be accepted and are greatly appreciated! We will have a special drawing for those who donate items plus we will be awarding bonus Parrot Points (4 points per item up to a total of 20 points). Get a jump start on the 2017 Parrot Head of the Year competition with your donations!
You can also expect a BIG announcement about an addition to the summer music schedule! Bring yourself (plus your phriends), bring a dish to share (potluck), bring some $$$ to buy your club house concert tickets, bring a donation for the Island Fever auction, & bring your party attitude the Fairfax latitude!
