Historic Performance at the Surf Ballroom!

The Isle of Iowa Parrot Head Club in association with the Surf Ballroom is pleased to announce a new, virtual concert experience.  Live from the Surf will feature national touring act Drop Dead Dangerous performing a concert that will be live streamed through social media outlets on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 7:30 PM.  The concert will be broadcast live on the Surf Ballroom’s Facebook page along with additional media outlets.  Best of all, viewers can tune in to watch free of charge!

During the live stream, viewers will be able to make a donation to the Surf Ballroom & Museum to support the ongoing community outreach undertaken by the Surf during these difficult times.  All proceeds collected will support the mission of the North Iowa Cultural Center.  While donations are encouraged, they are certainly not required.  Organizers simply hope to be able to provide everyone who loves (and misses) live music performances with a bit of an escape from the many challenges we face during this public health crisis.

You can also donate now directly through this link -

Your donation is tax-deductible & supports the incredible community outreach efforts of the Surf's foundation - the North Iowa Cultural Center! They need our help now more than ever!

Drop Dead Dangerous is the collaboration of lead singer/guitarist Kitty Steadman, and award-winning percussionist Melanie Howe.  Steadman is arguably the most powerful female vocalist the southern rock and country-music landscape has heard and Howe, commonly known as "The Djembabe", effortlessly fills the pocket with groove. Her wild drum kit and percussion rig leave audiences mesmerized.  Together they blend "sister-like" harmonies, along with regular band mates JD Edge (fiddle, mandolin, guitar & vocals) and Paul Wray (bass & vocals).  A band full of songwriters that intertwine addicting melodies with honest, passionate lyrics, Drop Dead Dangerous stands out among the best bands in the touring business today.

We hope you will join us (virtually) and help us keep the music alive through this unique virtual concert experience.  The music lives on at the legendary Surf Ballroom!
