Good Morning Isle of Iowa. This is Gerald Ptacek. I just wanted to check in and let you know a little bit of what is happening. It has been a hell of a year so far, especially the last month with the loss of one of our founding members, Jerry Fruendt, and my close friend and our fearless leader Bart Mason. Our thoughts and prayers are with their families. This year can't get over soon enough.
As per the by-laws, I have accepted to fill the president's position. We have some rearranging to do with the rest of the board, and we will be short a member. If you have an interest in serving on the Isle of Iowa board please let me know.
I hope the covid-19 virus will be on the way out and Island Fever Showcase 2021 will be able to take place without restrictions. Think positive. I am hoping to make this a successful event to honor Bart. In order to make this happen, I am hoping to receive your help. I am home rehabbing my new hip, so it is giving me some time to go through the stuff I have and making contact with people and artists that have worked with us.
We are holding a zoom board meeting on Wednesday, Dec 9th, at 7:00. If you would like to join us let me know and I will send you an invite.
